    Description

    Separate sealed Bids for construction of the Manchester Place Subdivision Stormwater Improvements for the City of Byron will be received until Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Byron Municipal Complex, 401 Main Street, Byron, GA 31008. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud at said office. Any bid received after Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. will not be considered by the Owner. Following the closing time for the receipt of bids no bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities and to re-advertise. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Byron Municipal Complex, 401 Main Street, Byron, GA 31008. The time allotted for substantial completion of the work is 240 Days from the Notice to Proceed, and the time allotted for final completion of work is 270 consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The Work includes erosion and sedimentation control, clearing and grading, drainage installation, demolition of existing improvements, and site restoration in accordance with the plans and specifications. Major storm drainage piping includes 20 LF of 72¿ RCP, 20 LF of temporary 54¿ RCP (culvert), 3,438 LF of 36¿ ADS HP storm pipe, 126 LF of 18¿ ADS HP storm pipe, and 1,298 LF of 18¿ HDPE along with associated headwalls, inlets, manholes, outlet control structure, etc. The project will be managed by GWES, LLC. located at 733 Carroll Street, Perry, GA 31069, telephone number (706) 765-8767. The Instructions to Bidders, Digital Bid Forms, Contract Agreement, Drawings, Specifications and forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond, Payment Bond and other Contract Documents may be obtained upon payment (non-refundable) of $200 from GWES by emailing william.jones@gwesllc.com.
