    Description

    This RFP is posted to P-12 Funding Opportunities. The New York State Education Department (NYSED) is seeking applications from eligible New York State public school districts and BOCES-led consortiums to implement the Family and Community Engagement Program (FCEP). The purpose of the program is to increase the academic achievement and college and career readiness of boys and young men of color by strengthening family and community engagement. Eligible applicants include qualifying public school districts and BOCES serving as fiscal agents for eligible consortiums, subject to specified Free and Reduced-Price Lunch (FRPL), English Language Learner (ELL), and graduation rate criteria. Public charter schools, non-public schools, and home-school groups are not eligible. Consortium applications and partnerships with community organizations, businesses, municipalities, tribal governments, and institutions of higher education are permitted and require a signed Partnership Agreement. Applicants may subcontract or partner with organizations as part of project implementation, provided all RFP requirements are met.
