    Description

*** THIS IS NOT A BID *** The description of services intended for purchase from a single source is posted in accordance with section 3.9, Procurement Ordinance 25-11, and will be posted for a minimum of 15 business days. Commodity or Service Required: Purchase of McCourt – Composting Equipment Parts and Service Description: Lee County Solid Waste Department seeks to execute a single-source procurement for the purchase of composting equipment, parts, and service by McCourt Equipment Inc. The parts and services are used for the County’s Backhus and Doppstadt composting equipment maintenance and software. Intended Single Source: McCourt Equipment, Inc. Justification for Single Source Acquisition: McCourt Equipment, Inc. is the only authorized dealer for Lee County and the region for the Backhus and Doppstadt equipment lines, and it has the only multiplexing diagnostic software for this machinery. The single source procurement method is used when there is only one vendor providing the required product or service. While routine maintenance is performed in-house, more complex repairs requiring specialized parts, multiplexing diagnostic software, and warranty-specific expertise must be handled by McCourt Equipment Inc. to ensure reliability and performance. Recommended Procurement Approach: For the reason(s) stated above, Lee County Procurement Management intends to utilize the Single Source Procurement method to purchase from McCourt Equipment, Inc. to supply the above. Respond to: If your firm feels they have the ability to supply the above, please contact Kevin Walker, Lee County Procurement Management at KWalker2@leegov.com for review.
