    PROJECT NAME: Miami-Dade Fire Station 68 PROJECT NUMBER: WO0000000526704 PSR Number: 202501401818 LOCATION: 11091 NW 17th Street, Sweetwater, Fl 33172 PROJECT LEAD: Albert Fernandez Scope of Services includes The project is to install network services from the fuel pump station to the MDF closet, which consists of running fiber optic infrastructure with newer fiber technology, which will enhance the infrastructure, and communications between fuel pump station to the MDF closet located at Miami-Dade Fire Station-68 located at 11091 NW 17th Street, Sweetwater, Fl 33172. It was determined during the walk-through to run a single mode fiber optic cable instead of CAT6 cabling, because of the distance. The new fiber optic infrastructure will align with ITD standards. The vendor is to provide Miami Dade County with a quote that will include purchase of all fiber optic cabling (Miami Dade County will provide parts numbers for all fiber optic equipment) for the vendor to acquire. Vendor will install the fiber optic cabling to the following locations stated on the scope of work and ensure that all communications are tested using a qualified optical fiber cabling tester (Fluke) and/or other reliable supported and certified tools to ensure that the test reports show any critical issues that will impact network performance and uptime. Fluke Networks Fiber Optic testing tools help certify that power losses are within standards and to troubleshoot broken and high loss links on single-mode and multimode fiber all with ease-of-use, accuracy, and durability. Vendor will provide Miami-Dade County their fiber optic cabling infrastructure design and drawings for review and approval. Vendor will purchase all hardware, accessories, materials to establish a 100% working communications between all designated buildings. Vendor will include all necessary, high-end industrial surge protectors, outdoor lighting Protection if required, “NO UPs” inside NEMA enclosures. Vendor will ensure that all conduits’ openings are protected and sealed once completed, to protect the fiber optic cabling from water, bugs, or insects’ intrusion. NOTE: Vendor needs to contact Project Lead immediately if they find any damaged conduits during the process of conducting work on-site. Vendor will include in proposal the cost for the purchasing and installing an estimated 500 FT of single mode fiber optic cabling. Vendor will need to perform their own measurements to provide Miami-Dade County with an exact amount of single mode fiber optic cabling that is required to complete the project effectively. Included in the Vendor’s quote will be all necessary equipment and associated components, as well as vendor installation services scope of work, labor cost, grounding for lightning protection required, and equipment cabling to provide a functional network communication for Miami-Dade Fire Station-68 location. Vendor will install industrial equipment as per the SOW parts list provided by the County. The Information Technology Department (ITD) Project Lead has performed a walk-through at the location to assess the best infrastructure solution to provide network connectivity to the fuel pump station located outside the fire station as shown in the photos below. IMPORTANT NOTE: The vendor after reviewing the SOW can provide their recommendations with an alternate infrastructure solution during the walk-through conversations and will discuss the recommendations with the County’s Fire Department Headquarters staff and ITD Project Lead for review and approval. Fuel Pump Station 2. Telecommunications / Fire Alarm Panel Room IMPORTANT NOTE: Fiber Optic (Part Number: 006ESF-T4101D20 “Description: FREEDM LST(TM) Single-tube, Gel-free Cable, 6 Fiber, Single-mode (OS2). 1. Vendor will provide fiber single mode patch cables required. (See Parts List on Last Page) 2. Vendor will purchase all fiber optic connectors and accessories to complete project (See Parts List on Last Page) 3. Vendor will purchase (4) port fiber optic patch panel for each location: ? Vendor will provide the necessary accessories / hardware / materials to complete the fiber optic installations as required (Corning Manufacturer). All materials, accessories and hardware must be itemized in the quote details and pricing. County will not accept quote without details and pricing of each item required to complete fiber optic installation. Approximately 500 feet of fiber cabling required. However, Vendor is responsible for measuring the exact fiber distance required for the project. Vendor will be responsible for providing and installing the 4-port fiber patch panel inside the IT MDF closet in the Fire Alarm Panel closet inside the fire station building along with all accessories and connectors required. IMPORTANT NOTES: 1. Required: As stated above vendor must include all accessories / hardware, labor, materials, pricing itemized on quote or quote will be not excepted. County will not accept non-itemized quote. 2. Upon project completion and County approval the Vendor MUST provide the County with low voltage permit information in a binder. Facility access: County Project Lead or designated staff will provide vendor with access to all locations including private buildings for example: Administration Building, IT closet, Muli-function room, etc. All work will be scheduled during normal County operations from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Exceptions must be pre-approved by County Project Manager or designated staff. Photo from the site will be sent in a Adobe Format.
