    Description

    The State of New York seeks to establish Centralized Backdrop Contracts for the acquisition of the following specified four (4) Lots for Medical and Laboratory Supplies and Equipment. Lots 1 and 2 contain multiple categories. Lots and categories are described below, along with examples of the Products that may be included in each Lot. Examples are meant to be descriptive, not exhaustive. Laboratory Supplies: Apparel/Personal Protective Supplies: Items designed to protect the wearer’s body from injury and infection. Examples are hearing protection, gloves, shoe covers, lab coats, face shields, and respirators. Basic Equipment, Appliances, Furniture: Standalone equipment used in a laboratory environment which generally requires no independent software or peripherals to operate. Examples are biological safety cabinets, refrigerators, freezers, and centrifuges. Portable or semi-portable machines, generally used on table-tops, counter-tops, or other platforms, to accomplish a laboratory task. Examples are blenders, burners, shakers, and hot plates. Furniture used in a laboratory environment. Examples are chemical cabinets, carts, and tables. Equipment Peripherals and Supplies: Auxiliary devices or supplies that support a laboratory device. Examples are pipette tips, refrigerator and freezer racks, and x-ray film. General Consumables and Supplies: Items used widely within a laboratory environment. Examples are applicators, wraps, swabs, and syringes. Glassware and Plasticware: Items used for a wide variety of functions, including volumetric measuring, holding or storing. Examples are beakers, pipets, petri dishes, casseroles, and tubes. Instruments: Portable items used to test and measure. Examples are meters, micropipettors, and calculators. Sterilization, Cleaning, and Housekeeping: Items designed to keep an environment clean and free from contaminants. Examples are cleaners, wipes, autoclave bags, and sharps containers. Medical Supplies: General Consumables and Supplies: Items used widely within a medical environment. Examples are gloves, bandages, ointments, soap, brushes, incontinence supplies, enemas, catheters, and nebulizers. Basic Equipment and Instruments: Equipment used in a medical environment which generally requires no independent software or peripherals to operate. Examples are wheelchairs, patient lifts, scales, thermometers, and sphygmomanometers. Chemicals: Products that contain basic and complex chemical compounds routinely used in laboratory or medical settings and readily available in the marketplace. Examples are acids, bases, alcohols, desiccants, drying agents, detergents, surfactants, dyes, stains, indicators, water, resins, metals, standards, polymers, solvents, organic and inorganics. Biologicals: Products that contain basic biological substances routinely used in laboratory or medical settings and readily available in the marketplace. Examples are carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids, proteins, antibiotics, antimycotics, cells, culture reagents, growth factors, hormones and reagent kits. Bidders are not required to bid on all Lots but can bid on as many Lots as they wish. Lots 1 and 2 contain seven (7) and two (2) categories respectively. Bidders are not required to bid on every Lot or category within the four (4) Lots but must be able to bid on at least three (3) categories total within Lots 1-4. The following are excluded from the scope: design services, installation and/or maintenance requiring Public Works (Public Works compliance must be procured separately), used or refurbished Products, removal of existing equipment, stand-alone software, and custom Products (Products that do not have an MSRP or are manufactured on a made to order basis). All bid documents and attachments are available for viewing and downloading at: https://ogs.ny.gov/procurement/bid-opportunities Submission of responses by a vendor to a solicitation that does not account for updated information may result in their bid/offer being deemed non-responsive. Vendors are strongly encouraged to review the advertised solicitation in full prior to submitting a bid to ensure inclusion of any updated information. Additionally, if the vendor does not opt-in to receive notification updates regarding a particular solicitation, they will not receive e-mail notifications regarding updates, including e-mail notifications regarding the posting of the question-and-answer documents and updates to solicitation documents. To receive email notifications regarding updates to the content or status of a particular solicitation, the vendor must choose the option “bookmark the ad” located in the upper right-hand side of the ad, then return to their account, view their list of bookmarked ads, and then select the “send me notification updates” option listed to the right of the ad. Bidders are advised that this solicitation is in a Restricted Period effective November 13, 2025. Pursuant to State Finance Law § 139-j and § 139-k, this Solicitation includes and imposes certain restrictions on communications between OGS and a Bidder during the procurement process.
