    Description

The purpose of this solicitation is to supply the City of Seattle with iron castings and other specified items including meter boxes, manhole covers, grating covers, valve box extensions, risers, and flanged bends. The City does not own the molds to create these castings. The bidder will incur all costs associated with the creation of new molds, and all molds must be approved by City of Seattle Water Distribution and/or Water Engineers.

The City has held a successful contract for Metal Castings since 2013.  However, the current contract is set to expire and all renewal options have been exhausted.  Therefore, the City is returning to the marketplace to establish a new contract for Metal Castings. The current contract for Metal Castings will be closed.

City departments collectively spent approximately $1,265,000 on metal castings in 2025.
