The Work of this project includes furnishing all labor, materials, appliances, tools, equipment and plant, and performing all Work in accordance with these specifications and drawings, with exception of work that is expressly and specifically not included in the project. Furnish and install concrete foundations, piers, walls, and slab‑on‑grade for the station shelter, including all reinforcement. iv. Furnish and erect structural steel, including columns, beams, plates, purlins, and metal roof decking. v. Furnish and install architectural station components, including curved standing‑seam metal roof, impact‑resistant aluminum façade panels, composite soffits/fascia, laminated glass windscreens, and related joint sealants. vi. Furnish and install site furnishings, including floor mounted bench and blast‑resistant trash receptacles. vii. Furnish and install electrical systems for the station, including lighting, conduit and wiring, radiant heaters, panelboard and feeders, grounding, and penetrations/restoration. Refer to the Project Manual and Contract Drawings for further information. The NFTA reserves the right to cancel this procurement, waive irregularities, reject any or all bids and extend the bidding period. The Bid security must accompany each bid and must be in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid price if the base bid exceeds $50,000.00. Bid security may be submitted prior to bid opening either electronically utilizing Surety2000 at www.surety2000.com or delivered to the NFTA in an opaque sealed envelope. Details for electronic submission are provided on the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website. In the event a bidder utilizes an offline bid but provides bid security electronically the electronic bid bond number must be submitted with the offline bid. The Contractor shall perform not less than 46% of the work with its own labor forces. The time of substantial completion for the project is 308 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). Refer to Technical Specification Section 01 11 00 “Summary of Work” for the anticipated date of Notice to Proceed, Project Duration, and additional time constraints associated with this project. Liquidated damages will be assessed against the Contractor for its failure to complete the project within the time specified as described in Technical Specification Section 01 11 00 “Summary of Work”. The percentage goal of Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation in the project shall be 0% (zero percent). A Pre-Bid conference will be held on May 22, 2026, at 09:00 a.m. at the 1st Floor Conference Room of the Metropolitan Transportation Center (MTC) located at 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York 14203. Note that parking is not provided. Directly following the Pre-Bid conference, a walk-through to the project site will be held according to the table shown in the Invitation To Bid of the Contract Documents. The project site is a high-traffic area and may be an active construction site. Safety gear and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required. No safety gear or PPE will be provided by the NFTA. Note that parking is not provided.
