Scope of Work: (Contractor must obtain and submit all permits prior to performing any work.) A. Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1) Removal of the existing roofing system in its entirety, including membrane, insulation, metal roof panels, flashings, fasteners, and all deteriorated roofing components. 2) Removal of loose, delaminated, or unstable concrete identified as spalls, including preparation of exposed areas for repair per structural specifications. 3) Removal and replacement of deteriorated metal roof deck panels exhibiting corrosion, section loss, or detachment from the structural framing. 4) Removal, cleaning, repair, or replacement of corroded open web steel joists, steel beams, and structural framing members, as identified in the engineering report and construction documents. 5) Provide structural steel repairs including reinforcement, replacement, welding, surface preparation, and application of corrosion resistant coatings per engineer-of-record requirements. 6) Perform concrete repairs at spalled or delaminated areas using approved structural repair mortars, bonding agents, and methods consistent with specifications. 7) Furnish and install a completely new roofing system meeting Miami Dade County Product Approval and HVHZ requirements, including new roof decking (as required), insulation, membrane, flashings, terminations, fasteners, and accessories. 8) Install all new roof panels and associated framing components as specified, ensuring proper weatherproofing, drainage, and long-term corrosion protection. 9) Provide temporary weather protection throughout construction to prevent water intrusion and protect existing structural and electrical systems. 10) Replace or restore any damaged communications conduit, electrical conduit, or building technology components located within the roof assembly. Technology equipment on the platform is to be to be protected. 11) Install new sealants, expansion joint assemblies, edge metal, and penetration flashings per construction documents. 12) Remove all corrosion stains and perform surface preparation on steel elements prior to coating application. 13) Replace any deteriorated ceiling elements at platform or mezzanine areas directly affected by roof leaks, as shown in structures or architectural drawings. 14) Maintain safe access for the public and coordinate all work with DTPW operations to ensure minimal disruption to Metromover service. 15) Remove all construction debris daily and restore all disturbed areas to original condition upon completion. 16) Perform all inspections, testing, and quality control procedures required by DTPW, the engineer of record, and product manufacturers, including fastener pull tests, adhesion tests, and final water intrusion testing.
