    Questions & Answers

Q ((Request for alternate) - Alternate Bid Request - Armorock): Would the City of Thousand Oaks approve Armorock polymer concrete as an alternate bid option for manholes specified with corrosion protection requirements? If acceptable, may Armorock polymer concrete be included as a named alternate bid item on the bid form for the applicable structures? We saw on this project the scope is calling out liners for the rehabilitation means regarding the manholes, our rehab inserts come in at a VERY competitive cost and can serve as an alternate solution to a liner. Installing our inserts require (Zero) bypassing, as the base remains functioning and can be rebuilt as needed with application kits. Installs for contractors on our inserts are also very fast, contractors can typically pump out 4 - 8 + installs a day. We can provide ample literature and videos showcasing our process upon request.

A: Please refer to Addendum No.1.

Q (No subject): Does the City want the Inverts sprayed with Polyurethane? There seems to only be mention of bypass for infiltration control and mortar application.

A: Please refer to Addendum No.1.

Q (Inflow and Infiltration): Can the city give an estimate on how many structures will require stopping water infiltration?

A: Please refer to Addendum No.1.

Q (Coating Removal): Apart from the existing t-lock lined manholes, how many other manholes have existing liner. Would the city be able to provide photos of the 25 manholes that need to be rehabilitated as well?

A: Please refer to Addendum No.1.
