    Description

*** THIS IS NOT A BID *** The description of services intended for purchase from a single source is posted in accordance with section 3.9, Procurement Ordinance 25-11, and will be posted for a minimum of 15 business days. Commodity or Service Required: Purchase of Microsoft Office Professional Non-Profit LSA Description: Lee County Library System seeks to execute a single-source procurement for non-profit Office Professional Plus ALng LSA licensing for all 427 public access computers by Microsoft Corporation. Intended Single Source: Microsoft Corporation Justification for Single Source Acquisition: Microsoft’s non-profit licensing program is governed by strict eligibility and distribution policies. These licenses are only available through Microsoft’s authorized channels. Microsoft requires a Direct Enterprise Agreement (EA) for non-profit licensing. Non-profit licensing is part of Microsoft’s Volume Licensing program, which is designed for organizations that meet specific eligibility criteria (charitable, educational, etc.). Libraries fall under public benefit organizations, so they qualify for non-profit pricing. Microsoft handles these agreements directly rather than through standard retail or cloud solution provider channels. The EA ensures compliance with eligibility requirements and provides access to discounted pricing for products like Microsoft Office. Recommended Procurement Approach: For the reasons stated above, Lee County Procurement Management intends to utilize the single-source procurement method to purchase from Microsoft Corporation to supply the above. Respond to: If your firm feels they have the ability to supply the above, please contact Kevin Walker, Lee County Procurement Management at KWalker2@leegov.com for review.
