Bids must be submitted by the time and date specified above, at which time those bids will be publicly opened and read in Conference Room 130 at Madison City Hall. Each bidder is responsible for mailing or hand delivering its bid so that it will be received at the above address and location at or before the time of the specified bid opening; bids received after that time will not be considered. An optional Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. local time in Conference Room 130 at Madison City Hall located at 100 Hughes Road, Madison, Alabama 35758. This erosion stabilization project will be completed along the south side of Mill Creek beginning at the Balch Road and Mill Road intersection extending east to the bridge. Stabilization TRM (Pyramat) is to be installed per manufacturer recommendations with one foot and three foot anchors. The project will require coordination with Madison Utilities and North Alabama Gas District. All work is intended to be completed from the south side of the project as to not impact roadway traffic, but in the event that lane closure is required, contractors must perform work under traffic using MUTCD standards for traffic control. Working hours are 7:00am - 7:00pm and the project completion timeframe is 90 calendar days from the issuance of a notice to proceed. All work is to be performed per the general and technical specifications and plans contained in the Invitation to Bid packet. To be eligible for award, submitted bids must be completed on original bid forms provided in the bid packet and may not be faxed or emailed. Only properly licensed general contractors per Alabama law may submit a bid. No pre-qualification is required for this project.
