    Description

MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING: MARCH 3, 2026 AT 10:00 AM Project Name: Marcoll Mine Shaft and Facilities Project Description: A vertical mine shaft sits approximately 120 LF east of SR 7, and 65 LF east of active rail line, easily accessible by vehicle or foot traffic. This shaft is more than 200 LF to the bottom and is open at the top of the shaft. The top of the concrete shaft structure sits 25' above the ground surface. The concrete coping above the ground is deteriorated. The current project seeks to address the risk of collapse, which would draw in the river and take out a portion of SR7, by knocking down the concrete structure to a height of 5ft, and backfilling the depth of the shaft to prevent collapse. Shaft located at latitude: 39.809618°, long: -80.824065° Engineer's Estimate: $314,630.00 Project Location: Monroe County Pre-bid Meeting Location (Mandatory): On Site - 39.809371 N & -80.824551 W
