    Description

    Scope of Work of the Contract Documents includes the following:

    1. Installation of 8-inch, 6-inch and 4-inch potable water lines within Montgomery County right of way. Total length of line is approximately 20,000 feet.

    2. Boring of all driveways and county road sections is required.

    3. Appurtenances include Tees, Bends, Reducers, Valves, Flush Hydrants and air vacuum release valves.

    4. Disinfection of water system using the methods approved by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

    5. Meter reconnections will be required for approximately 150 residences utilizing tapping saddles on the newly installed lines.

    6. Erosion control, traffic control and site restoration are included.

    NOTE: The engineering design for this project was based on installing water lines with horizontal directional drilling utilizing HDPE water pipe. Contractors with alternate means and methods will be allowed provided the methods are approved by the engineer and contractor provides as built drawings to the district showing the installation provided.
