Mt. San Antonio College F-1 Student Health Insurance

The International Student Program (ISP) at Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. SAC) facilitates the recruitment, admissions, retention, and persistence of F-1 visa international students. As part of our College policy, all F-1 visa students are required to have medical insurance to ensure they have appropriate and necessary physical and mental health coverage. Our F-1 students are required to purchase the health insurance coverage provided by the College, unless they have private coverage that is comparable or exceeds the coverage provided by the College. The ISP currently serves about 300 international students from over 30 countries. Historically, the ISP had up to over 600 international students before the COVID-19 pandemic. Mt. SAC international have a myriad of health and mental wellness needs just as any other person. Further, international students may be faced with issues that tend to be more endemic to international students (e.g., home sickness, culture shock). Henceforth, the ISP is seeking valuable, affordable, reliable, educational, and holistic health and wellness coverage for our F-1 international students.
