    Public notice is hereby given that the Municipal Authority of the City of Monongahela will receive sealed bids electronically via PennBid until 10:00 A.M. prevailing time on Monday, April 20, 2026, for the following Contract: CONTRACT NO. 2026-01 (LS 24-36) CAP Sanitary Sewer Flow Reduction Project – Phase 2This project consists of the internal visual inspection of forty-three (43) sanitary sewer manholes that are located within the right of way of Norfolk Southern Railway property.All work under this contract is to be performed within the 50 linear feet right of way of Norfolk Southern Railway property. It will be the responsibility of the successful bidder to coordinate directly with the Railroad to obtain all required permissions, insurance, safety training and coordinate required flagging operations. The work also includes traffic control as required.Plans and specifications are available at no cost via the PennBid Program (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com) Bidders may not qualify any of the specifications. Immediately after the closing time for receipt of bids, all bids will be publicly opened with results displayed on PennBid.A certified check payable to the Municipal Authority of the City of Monongahela or a bid bond on the bid form executed by the Bidder and a surety company approved by the Owner, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid, to guarantee the Bidder's entrance into a contract if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications, or any applicable statutes of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or any applicable municipal ordinances. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids.A pre-bid conference will be held virtually on Thursday, Thursday April 9, 2026, at 10:00 A.M through Microsoft Teams. Participation in this virtual conference is strongly recommended for anyone submitting a bid.Work under the aforementioned Contract is subject to the requirements of the “Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act” (1961 August 15, PL 987; P.S. 165) and subsequent amendments.The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
