The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: Work zone traffic control setup for alternating one-way traffic, removal of the existing bridge superstructure, abutment modifications, erection of new steel beams, new concrete deck, and rail and approach paving. This is a County funded project and NYSDOT Standard Specifications, officially finalized and adopted on May 1, 2026 as posted on the New York State Department of Transportation’s website must be followed by the successful bidder. There are no M/WBE goals for this project. There are no DBE goals for this project. The EEO Employment goals for this project are: 3.2% Minority Employment Goal 6.9% Women Employment Goal Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received until, 11:00 a.m., May 28th, 2026, at the Saratoga County Department of Central Services, 50 West High Street, Ballston Spa, New York, 12020 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for North Shore Road (CR 4) over Sand Creek Superstructure Replacement (BIN 3304780) covered by specification #26-PWCR4SCSR-4 A pre-bid conference will not be held. Bid documents may be only be obtained from The Empire State Bid System beginning on May 7th, 2026 at no cost from the following website: https://www.bidnetdirect.com/new-york/saratoga-county Each bidder must deposit with his bid, a bid security in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of his bid, in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information to Bidders. Simultaneously with his executed contract, the successful bidder must deliver to the County of Saratoga an executed performance and completion bond in a form meeting the County's approval, in an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid as security for the faithful performance and completion of this contract, and also a separate bond guaranteeing prompt payment of monies due to all persons supplying the contractors or subcontractors with labor and materials employed and used in carrying out the contract, and having as surety on the bonds such surety companies as are approved or acceptable to the County of Saratoga. Saratoga County, through its Purchasing Department, reserves the right to reject any or all bids. All work shall be subject to equal opportunity in employment, State wage rates and all other requirements in accordance with applicable law.
