    Description

    The County of Hawaii is posting a Notice of and Request for Exemption procurement of In compliance with Finance Director's Rule 4.8(c) The Rules and Regulations of the Director of Finance, the Animal Control and Protection Agency is requesting the continued use of existing vendors with the aid of our current veterinarian to allow the agency to have available veterinary services for animals we bring into our agency from Ali'i Veterinary Hospital (West Hawaii-Kona), Good Karma, Spay and Neuter Clinic (East Hawaii-Hilo), Kona Veterinanry Hospital (West Hawall-Kona), Hawaii Island Humane, Society (East and West Hawaii), Aloha Veterinary Hospital (East Hawaii-Hilo), Pet Fix (East and West Hawaii-Location Varies), Pahoa Animal Hospital (East Hawaii-HIio), Aloha Animal Alliance (East and West Hawaii-Location Varies), Veterinary Associates Inc (North Hawaii-Waimea), and Cordero Veterinary Services LLC (East and West Hawaii-Location Varies).     Vendors who object to the Notice of Exemption shall respond to this notice by uploading their written objections through OpenGov prior to the request’s end date and shall be addressed to the Chief Procurement Officer.  Vendors who object must provide sufficient bases to support its written objection. Any written objections received as a result of this Notice of and Request for Exemption will place the Exemption request on hold, and the procurement officer will review the objection and provide a written determination to the person submitting the objection. Responses will not be considered as proposals, bids, or quotes.

    Any inquiries shall be emailed to Purchasing@hawaiicounty.gov. Do not email your written objections to the Purchasing Division. All written objections shall be timely uploaded to OpenGov in order to be considered.
