    Description

The City of Lancaster is pleased to announce a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the Vandalism Prevention & Community Enhancement Grant Program. This NOFA serves as a call for projects to support proactive, preventative, and restorative investments that reduce vandalism, strengthen commercial corridors, support local businesses and community-serving organizations, and enhance the overall economic vitality, safety, and appearance of Lancaster neighborhoods. The program is intended to fund projects that advance Lancaster’s economic development, revitalization, and place-making goals while incorporating vandalism prevention and public safety strategies. Projects that also enhance a site’s capacity to provide supportive and community-based services, when integrated with vandalism prevention or property enhancement improvements, are strongly encouraged, including projects that: • Prevent vandalism before it occurs; • Deter repeat vandalism through design, technology, or environmental improvements; • Repair or remediate vandalized properties in a manner that strengthens neighborhood pride; and • Enhance commercial corridors, community facilities, and public-serving sites that contribute to Lancaster’s economic vitality and quality of life. The City seeks practical, scalable, and community-driven solutions that demonstrate clear public benefit.
