Notice of Intended Single / Sole Source Purchase - Transport Ventilators

The description of services intended for purchase from a Single Source is posted in accordance with section 287.057(3)(c), Florida Statutes and will be posted for a minimum of 7 business days.

This is a Notice for a Sole Source Source designation for Clay County Board of County Commissioners.

Commodity or Service Required:

Purchase of Hamilton-T1 transport ventilators and associated EMS packages for Clay County Fire Rescue to replace discontinued units currently in service and support advanced respiratory care during emergency response and patient transport.

Justification for Single/Sole Source Acquisition:

Clay County Fire Rescue has determined that the Hamilton-T1 transport ventilator manufactured by Hamilton Medical, Inc. best meets the operational and clinical requirements of the department’s emergency medical services. The Hamilton-T1 provides advanced ventilation capabilities, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation modes, Adaptive Support Ventilation (ASV), integrated monitoring, and extended battery life designed specifically for prehospital and transport environments. These features allow providers to deliver consistent respiratory care to both adult and pediatric patients in high-acuity and dynamic field conditions.

Hamilton Medical, Inc. is the sole manufacturer and distributor of the Hamilton-T1 transport ventilator. Standardizing this equipment across the fleet supports continuity of care, simplifies training and maintenance, and ensures compatibility with existing clinical workflows and equipment utilized by the department. Therefore, this purchase is requested as a single/sole source acquisition.

Recommended Procurement Approach:

For the reason stated above, Clay County Purchasing Department intends to utilize the Sole Source Procurement method to contract with Hamilton Medical for supplying the above.
