The Gardner Denver Nash aeration blower equipment has been installed within the Utility System upon construction of the plant. The existing Gardner Denver Nash aeration blower units are proven systems that consistently meets our operational needs and permit requirements. With the systems being already installed, it is in the best interest of the County to continue to use these products since they are working to meet the regulations.
Centrifugal blowers in the wastewater treatment plants provide high-volume, continuous airflow for aeration, which is critical for supplying oxygen to microorganisms that break down organic waste. They are essential for maintaining activated sludge, mixing equalization (EQ) basins, scouring membranes, and odor control.
