    Oakmont is a community located approximately 8 miles east of downtown Santa Rosa and tucked intoSonoma County’s Valley of the Moon. This mostly residential community includes small businesses, anda local Homeowner’s Association offering various golfing and recreation opportunities to members. Thecommunity is located within the Wildland Urban Interface and is surrounded by hills, trees, countrysideand vineyards. The area contains roads maintained by the City that will be included in the Project;however, many of the roads are owned and maintained by the Association and are excluded from theProject. City maintained roads are showing signs of distress and need maintenance to improve theircondition.
