Scope of Work

The work to be done for this project, shown on the drawings entitled “Off-Leash Dog Area Shade Structures,” prepared by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County dated June 12, 2026, consists of the construction of four 9’x12’ 2-column gable shade structures, two at Hawk Hollow Forest Preserve, and two at Oldfield Oaks Forest Preserve. This will include site preparation, removal and salvage of 241 LF of woven wire fence, installation of 829 LF of woven wire fence, erosion control measures, grading, 3,585 SF of 5” concrete pads and access routes to the shelters, 128 LF of 4’ chain link fencing, 0.7 acres of turf seeding, and site restoration.

Pre-Bid Conference

NON-MANDATORY A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting for general contractors will be held in-person on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. CST at the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County Headquarters located at 3S580 Naperville Road, Wheaton, IL 60189.
