    Description

    DASNY is soliciting bids for the boiler decentralization project at Building 201 at St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center, located at 1 Chimney Point Drive in Ogdensburg, New York. The purpose of this project is to disconnect the building from the co-generation plant steam lines and provide natural gas condensing boilers for heating and domestic water. Detailed scope includes the following: 1. Removal of the existing steam-to-heating hot water heat exchangers and the installation of a new central utility building housing six (6) new heating hot water boilers and associated heating hot water circulation pumps and accessories. 2. Removal of the existing steam-to-domestic hot water heat exchangers and the installation of three (3) new gas fired water heaters and related accessories. 3. Installation of a new pipe rack system located on the roof of the existing building connecting utilities between the existing building and the new central utility building. Utilities located on the pipe rack will include heating hot water supply/return piping, natural gas piping, power conduits, fire alarm conduits, BMS conduits and data/tele conduits. 4. Extension of the existing Trane Control system to integrate the new boiler plant and domestic heating hot water system. 5. Removal of the campus medium pressure steam system inclusive of service entrance, pressure-reduced stations and steam/condensate distribution piping. Four (4) contracts anticipated to be awarded, with estimated Cost Range: C742 Electrical - $600,000 - 650,000; C754 GC - $2,000,000 - $2,500,000; C755 HVAC - $4,500,000 - $4,750,000; C756 Plumbing - $875,000 - $925,000. Projects with complex technical specification sections may require additional experience in terms of both time as well as number of similarly completed projects.
