    The Olivenhain Municipal Water District (District) has identified the need to acquire asphalt, concrete, and seal-coat repair services on an as-needed and on-call basis. The District seeks proposals from qualified contractors to perform these services to support efforts to supplement District crews. Each task, or group of tasks, will be authorized through a separate task order. The District will request a proposal for the work that will be the basis for the task order. No work shall be completed without an authorized task order. When issued a task order over fifty thousand dollars ($50,000), the contractor shall furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in an amount equal to 100% of the task order amount, or equivalent cash or securities in lieu of these bonds in accordance with Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.710. The Contractor(s) shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and safety measures needed to complete all required work in accordance with local and state laws.The following items should be considered as a framework for the scope of services to be used in proposal development. The District understands this RFP may not fully describe all services envisioned. Therefore, the District will rely on the Contractor to provide modifications or additional information to the scope of services described herein, based on the Contractor's professional experience.This section is to provide the Contractor with examples of services that may be needed during the life of the contract. However, there is no guarantee of the quantity or type of work that will be needed.The general nature of the work consists of a service contract to address real-time efforts when available District resources are limited. Asphalt concrete repairs will be within the District’s service area, which includes Encinitas, Carlsbad, San Diego, Solana Beach, Escondido, neighboring communities, and the unincorporated areas governed by the County of San Diego. Repair services shall generally consist of asphalt medium (10’x10’) or large (20+’x20+’) patches, 24” & 36” manhole leveling/setting and asphalt repair, 8” & 12” valve can leveling/setting and asphalt repair, seal coat, and other work related to asphalt repairs. Contractor to follow governing agency standards. Contractor shall procure and maintain all permits, licenses, and other government-required certifications necessary for the performance of its services.
