On-Call Solid Waste Consulting Services

The City of Rancho Cordova, Public Works Department is soliciting request for proposals for professional solid waste consulting services (Contractor). The City will utilize a combination of City staff and Contractor staff to provide management, oversight and administration of the City’s solid waste programs. The focus areas include residential and commercial franchise agreement administration; solid waste data analysis; solid waste program promotion, education and outreach; grant administration; customer service; compliance reporting; development and implementation of new solid waste diversion programs; and other projects/assistance as needed. It is expected that the selected Contractor will dedicate approximately 20 hours per week of total staff time to this project during the contract term. It is envisioned that work by the Contractor may be accomplished off-site unless otherwise directed by the City. City staff will lead solid waste programming efforts but will rely heavily on the Contractor for program management support and subject matter expertise to further the City's goals. The City is currently implementing strategies to enhance community program delivery and streamline administrative processes as well as leveraging data to drive decision making. It is paramount that the Contractor be able to support and augment these efforts.
