    Scott County is seeking one (1) new Class 5, F550 Super Duty, 4X4, Supercab with Mechanic's Service Body. Specifications (pages 2-11) are attached. Delivery to 950 E. Blackhawk Trail, Eldridge, IA 52748 must be included in cost. Must provide an estimated order to delivery (OTD) timeframe in bid response on page 7. All questions must be posted to Public Purchase for equal visibility to answers for all vendors. Submission of the completed cover sheet, spec pages, and cost summary should be returned to www.publicpurchase.com. Scott County does not do business with debarred vendors, and all vendors will be verified on Sam.gov. All vendors should be registered with Sam.gov and must have a Unique Entity ID. When available, results will be posted on Closed Bids | Scott County, Iowa (scottcountyiowa.gov). Thank you for your interest in doing business with Scott County, Iowa. --- QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS --- Q: Under IV. Body, 1. Crane Would you like the crane to be electric or electric-over hydraulic? Also, what length of boom for reach? Electric offers 16' or 20' boom. Hydraulic offers 21' boom Would you like hydraulic or manual stabilizers? 2. Liftgate What capacity of load gate? Also, what material for the lift gate pad and what size of load area? A: Vendors with multiple options are asked to list them out in their proposal. As far as these particular questions/options are concerned, any and all options listed here are acceptable, and the vendor is asked to list them all out as options. Q: For load gate, there are multiple features for you to choose. In the interest of specifying the appropriate product based on your needs. Please advise which options you would like based on below. Thank you. 1. Weight options 1300lbs & 1600lbs. 2. Material options: Steel or aluminum 3. Size option for steel:49 x 27, 49 x 38, 49 x 42 4. Size options for alum: 49 x 27, 49 x 38, 49 x 48. A: 1. Minimum 1300lbs is good. 2. Prefer aluminum platform. 3. N/A 4. Preferred 49 x 38 aluminum platform. These options are preferred, but all proposals submitted will be evaluated. Q: Crane: 12,000 ft-lb crane (4,000 lb. lift capacity) with radio control, mounted on right rear. Question: At what reach does the crane need the 4000 lb. lifting capacity? A: The crane needs 4,000 lbs lift capacity at minimum reach or with the boom stored all the way in.
