Proposal Guaranty: No deposit or bid bond will be required at time of the bid opening. Performance Bond: Brown County will give notice to the successful bidder that his proposal has been accepted and said bidder shall within then (10) days thereafter enter into a contract with Brown County and furnish a performance bond in accordance with the bid as accepted or as required by the Brown County Highway Department Superintedent. Brown County must be listed as additional insured on all Certificates of Insurance. Envelopes containing bids shall be addressed and delivered to the Brown County Auditor, 25 Market Street, Aberdeen, South Dakota 57401, and to be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope: "BIDS ON GRAVEL AGGREGATE MATERIALS" to be opened March 24, 2026. The Brown County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid they deem to be in the best interest of Brown County. Bids shall include all applicable taxes and fees for materials furnished and/or installed by the Contractor and all applicable taxes and fees for materials supplied by the County. Brown County is exempt from all Federal Excise Tax and State Sales Tax. Contract for GRAVEL MATERIALS shall be firm and will be in effect for a period of one (1) year from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027.
