SMART is issuing this Notice of Intent (NOI) to award a non-competitive, negotiated purchase order to Knorr Brake Company, LLC for the purchase of fifty (50) dual channel isolated speed sensors (Manufacturer Part #: 813361), originally manufactured by Knorr Brake Company, LLC because it is SMART’s understanding that the only available source to supply these Original Equipment Manufacturer parts is from Knorr Brake Company, LLC.If upon review of this Notice, vendors or suppliers determine that they can legally supply these parts to SMART, SMART requests that those vendors or suppliers submit a response to this Notice of Intent. Any responses received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement rather than proceeding with this sole-source negotiated contract. This notice is not a request for competitive bids or proposals.
