    Description

    Medical Coordinators provide professional medical consultation for the Office of Professional Medical Conduct, (OPMC). Their duties include reviewing professional medical conduct cases and patient records in addition to conducting interviews with physicians either under investigation or on probation. Positions are filled throughout the year as needed by location and specialty. Resumes will be kept on file to be accessed as needed. Fees: The fee is fixed at $100 per hour. Expenses incurred during travel requested by the State will be reimbursed in accordance with the State Comptroller's rules and regulations at the active State rates. Requirements: Applicants must be licensed and currently registered to practice medicine in NYS, currently or previously Board certified in Thoracic Surgery and a physician in good standing. Please submit current CV application with identified board certifications. Subcontracting: No subcontracting is allowed. Contracts are only with individual physicians or with single physician business entities.
