    DASNY is soliciting bids for work to be performed at the Capital District DDSO. The project involves renovations to Building 9, A Wing, for the construction of a new Dental Clinic at the CD DDSO. DASNY anticipates awarding four (4) prime contracts: General Construction (GC), Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC. The scope of work for each contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: C645 General Construction: 1. Remaining work not identified as work under this section. 2. Site improvements, including roadways, parking lots, pedestrian paving, site development furnishings and equipment, and landscaping. 3. Selective demolition. 4. Slabs-on-grade, including earthwork, subdrainage systems, and insulation. 5. Roofing, including coverings, flashings [roof specialties]. 6. Interior construction, including partitions, doors, [interior glazed openings,] and fittings. 7. Fire-protection specialties. 8. Interior finishes [finish carpentry] [architectural woodwork] and built-in casework. 9. Dental Equipment C683 Plumbing: 1. Plumbing fixtures. 2. Domestic water distribution. 3. Sanitary waste. 4. Special plumbing systems, including the following: compressed air & vacuum. 5. Plumbing connections to equipment furnished by all other contracts. C684 Electrical: 1. Electrical service and distribution. 2. Exterior and interior lighting. 3. Communication and security. 4. Fire alarm and detection systems. 5. Electrical connections to equipment furnished by all other contracts. C685 HVAC: 1. Energy supply, including [oil] [gas] [steam] [hot- and chilled-water] supply systems. 2. HVAC systems and equipment. 3. HVAC instrumentation and controls. 4. HVAC testing, adjusting, and balancing. 5. Building automation system. 6. The bidder or its principals shall have a minimum of five (5) years experience in similar work and shall provide to the Owner on the Minimum Qualifications Form a list of five (5) contracts of similar size, scope, and complexity to this Project completed or substantially completed within the last ten (10) years. Projects with complex technical specification sections may require additional experience in terms of both time as well as number of similarly completed projects.
