Approximate Project Length Approximate Length of Pavement: 5826 Linear Feet Width: 6 feet Approximate Length of gravel: 2200 Width: 4 ft Final alignment will be verified in the field with City staff prior to construction. 3. Scope of Work Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, traffic control, grading, and site restoration required to complete the project including but not limited to: • Site preparation and clearing • Minor grading and leveling • Subgrade preparation and compaction • Base material installation • Pathway construction (asphalt) • Edge grading and tie-in to surrounding ground • Cleanup and site restoration 4. Path Design Requirements • Width: 4 feet minimum usable surface • Cross Slope: Maximum 2% for drainage • Longitudinal Slope: Follow natural grade where feasible • Compaction: Subgrade compacted to minimum 95% Standard Proctor • Keep similar width of exciting path when variance occurs 5. Base Material Base material shall consist of: • 4 inches compacted crushed limestone or flex base Base shall be mechanically compacted and graded to ensure proper drainage. 6. Asphalt Option (Base Bid) Where asphalt is laid, pathway shall include: • 2 inches compacted hot mix asphalt surface • Installed over prepared base • Rolled and compacted to industry standards Edges shall be graded to prevent erosion. 7. Gravel Pathway along top of dam Gravel pathway shall include: • Gravel laid over Dam maximum • Area graded 8. Additional Alternate • If budget allows, the City would also like to replace the bridge with a raised bridge that would allow water through and large enough for small personal water craft to pass under. ## Pre-Bid Conference NON-MANDATORY The City will have an optional Pre-Bid meeting and walkthrough.
