Intent:Bartlett Regional Hospital (BRH) an enterprise organization within the City and Borough of Juneau (City or CBJ) seeks proposals from qualified firms to provide services for Early-Out, Self-Pay patient account collections and Medicare billing services. It is the intent of BRH to enter into a contract with the successful Proposer to provide these services on behalf of BRH. Requests must be received a minimum of seven (7) business days prior to the solicitation deadline. Any changes to CBJ issued documents will be in the form of an addendum to the solicitation and will be issued as promptly as possible to all plan holders. HIPAA Business Associate Agreement: The City has designated certain health care components as covered entities under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996. Upon contract award, the successful contractor will be designated a business associate of those agencies identified as health care components of the City. The successful contractor will be required to adhere to all relevant federal, state and local confidentiality and privacy laws, regulations, and contractual provisions of the contract agreement.
