The GATEWAY SERVICES COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT (“GSCDD” or “District”) , Florida will receive SEALED BIDS for ITB-26-02-PW: Pelican Preserve Roadway Resurfacing & Associated Markings at District Office, 11922 Fairway Lakes Dr., Suite #1, Fort Myers, FL. 33913 on or before May 27, 2026 @ 10 AM ET and will be opened immediately thereafter at 13240 Griffin Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33913. Any bid received by the DISTRICT later than the above time shall remain unopened. Project scope includes but is not limited to: Project: PELICAN PRESERVE ROADWAY RESURFACING & ASSOCIATED MARKINGS 1. Base Bid – Pavement Mill, Resurface & Striping The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete pavement maintenance and roadway striping along Pelican Preserve Boulevard from its beginning limits through Veneto Drive, totaling approximately 17,000 square yards. Work shall include, but is not limited to: • Surface preparation, including cleaning and minor repairs as required • Asphalt pavement resurfacing/milling and overlay • Application of pavement markings, including lane lines, edge lines, and directional markings • Installation or refresh of roadway striping in accordance with applicable standards • Maintenance of traffic (MOT) throughout work site Note: Contractor will be responsible for permitting with the City of Fort Myers. The District has proactively applied for the associated permits, contractor will be required to bond and pick up permit, call in inspections etc. 2. Alternate No. 1 – Bicycle Lane Striping (Pelican Preserve Boulevard) The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to install designated bicycle lanes along Pelican Preserve Boulevard. Work shall include: • Layout and installation of bike lane striping • Application of bike lane symbols and pavement markings • Adjustments to existing lane configurations as needed Note: A bike lane permit has been prepared and is ready for issuance with the City of Fort Myers under SITC-043848-2024. Contractor will be required to bond and pick up permit, call in inspections etc. 3. Alternate No. 2 – Restriping of GSCDD Roadways The Contractor shall perform restriping of additional GSCDD-maintained roadways within Pelican Preserve of approximately 15,000 linear feet. Work shall include: • Removal or obliteration, disposal of existing pavement markings (as needed). • Application of thermoplastic markings. Note: No associated permits required for Alternate No. 2 as this is considered maintenance. All work shall comply with applicable FDOT standards and local regulations. Contractor shall coordinate schedule and phasing to minimize disruption to residents and traffic All materials and workmanship shall meet current industry standards. Contractor is responsible for site safety, traffic control, and protection of existing infrastructure. The scope is further defined and detailed within the Plans, Technical Specifications and General Conditions associated with this project. Contractor is responsible for reviewing all documentation associated with this project. The project will be built in strict compliance with the plans and specifications in the Contract Documents. All work performed shall follow all Federal, State, Local, District, OSHA and department mandated regulations and specifications for associated work. 1. PRE-BID CONFERENCE There is a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting scheduled at the Board Chambers on May 6, 2026, at 9 AM ET or join online: tinyurl.com/PREBID-26-02. Following the meeting, bidders may visit the project site for GPS directions at 9200 Pelican Preserve Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33913. The CONTRACTOR agrees to perform all the work necessary to complete all items listed. The OWNER has the right to accept or reject any or all part of a submitted bid. This project requires the Contractor to be properly and appropriately licensed and insured in the State of Florida, Fort Myers and Lee County, Florida.
