    Description

    NOTICE TO BIDDERS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PERIMETER FENCE UPGRADES AT THE SAFFORD REGIONAL AIRPORT Sealed proposals for the construction of Perimeter Fence Upgrades Contract will be received at the City Clerk’s Office, 717 Main Street, Safford, Arizona until 2 pm, local time, August 18, 2016, and there, at said office, at said time, publicly opened and read aloud. Bids may also be mailed to the City Clerk at PO Box 272, Safford, Arizona 85548, at or before the required time and date. The project title and bidders name and address shall appear on the outside of the sealed proposal. Late bids will not be considered. Proposals may be withdrawn before the public opening by phone or written request. This project general includes the removal of existing barbed wire along the airport property boundary and replacing it with 6-foot chain link fence with 3-stand barbed wire outriggers. This project also includes relocation of portion of the fence that are within the Runway 8-26 safety areas to outside of those limits. The Contract Documents (consisting of the Advertisement, the Proposal, the Agreement, and the Specifications) and the Contract Drawings may be obtained from Box.com: https://app.box.com/. Login and password can be obtained by contacting Michelle Auge of C&S Engineers, Inc. at (mauge@cscos.com) where the Contractor’s name, contact name, address, telephone number, and email address will be recorded on a plan holders list. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total maximum proposal price (combination of base bid or alternate bid plus add-on items) for the contract in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Preparation of Proposal. Every request concerning this project must be made in writing or email addressed to Richard Graham, P.E.(rgraham@cscos.com) at C&S Engineers, Inc., located at 9200 E. Pima Center Pkwy., Suite 240, Scottsdale, AZ 85258, and to be given consideration must be received at the above address at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for opening of bids. Any supplemental instructions will be in the form of written addenda, which, when issued, will be sent and or posted not later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive minor irregularities and informalities therein, and to award the bid in the best interest of the City.
