    Description

Through an agreement with the Arizona Department of Economic Security (ADES), the Maricopa County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) is seeking a Community-Based Organization (CBO) to serve as the coordinating agent for Community Health Workers (CHWs) certification and practicum placements for refugees and refugee-serving organizations. The purpose of this initiative is to increase health care coordination, health education, health literacy, and wellness support for refugees in Maricopa County through the development of a sustainable, culturally relevant CHW workforce. The selected CBO will designate a program coordinator to lead collaborative efforts with MCDPH to oversee the CHW certification process. CBO will assume the responsibility for recruitment of CHW students, retention, and completion of required training, practicum hours, and preparation for the certification exam. This includes providing financial and logistical support for CHW candidate practicums and overseeing workforce development activities that prepare refugee community members for CHW roles. Practicum placements must occur at refugee-serving or client-serving organizations, where CHW candidates will deliver Refugee Health Promotion services to eligible refugees—defined as individuals within their first five (5) years in the United States or within five (5) years of receiving a qualifying immigration status. MCDPH will serve as the CHW Training Coordinator and serve as the primary trainer and lead for this initiative. The MCDPH CHW Training Coordinator will be responsible for supporting students in navigating and completing core competency training using the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring compliance with certification standards, and providing technical guidance to Subrecipients as they work with students to complete all requirements leading up to certification. **Solicitation Type**: RFQ - Request for Quote (Informal) **Source ID**: PU.AG.USA.2550080.2837793.C21381926 **Piggyback Contract**: No **Question Acceptance Deadline**: 04/09/2026 08:00 PM EDT **Bid Submission Type**: Electronic Bid Submission **Owner Organization**: Maricppa County **Solicitation Number**: D860-RFQ-0000000017 **Reference Number**: 0000417346 **Pricing**: Lump sum **Bid Documents List**: | Item Name | Description | Mandatory | Limited to 1 file | |---|---|---|---| | Bid Documents | Documents defining the proposal | No | No | **Questions and Answers**: - Q1 Arrow Right Question: Training Hours and Clarification 1.
