    Description

    The Scope of Work for this project includes, but is not limited to, the demolition of four (4) existing portable classroom buildings and the construction of up to two new permanent classroom buildings—Building ‘E’ and Building ‘F’—on the Argus and Endeavor High School campus. Demolition The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and services required for the demolition and removal of four (4) existing portable classroom buildings, including associated foundations, ramps, utility connections, and related site elements. Demolition activities shall include proper disposal or recycling of materials in accordance with applicable regulations and District requirements. The Contractor shall coordinate demolition sequencing to minimize disruption to ongoing campus operations. New Building Construction Building ‘E’ The Contractor shall construct Building ‘E’, which will include: • One (1) Career Technical Education (CTE) laboratory • One (1) science laboratory • Two (2) standard classrooms • Two (2) student and one (1) staff restroom • Associated service and support rooms Building ‘F’ (Add Alternate) Building ‘F’ is designed to be included as an Add Alternate at the District’s option and shall consist of: • Three (3) standard classrooms • Associated service and support rooms Site Development and Utilities The project includes all associated site development required to support the new buildings, including but not limited to: • Site preparation, grading, drainage, and restoration • New and modified concrete flatwork, accessible routes, and site improvements • Utility extensions, relocations, and connections for water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, gas, power, data, and communications as required • Coordination with existing campus utilities and infrastructure Fire/Life Safety and Building Systems The Contractor shall provide and install: • New fire department connections serving the new buildings • Modifications, extensions, and upgrades to the existing campus fire alarm system and controls, currently located in existing Building ‘B’, to fully integrate the new buildings • Testing, commissioning, and coordination with the authority having jurisdiction for all fire/life safety systems Photovoltaic (PV) System The Contractor shall furnish and install photovoltaic (PV) panels on the roof of Building ‘E’, including all associated structural coordination, electrical infrastructure, interconnection, testing, and commissioning in accordance with the construction documents, applicable codes, and District standards. General Contractor Responsibilities The Contractor shall be responsible for: • Construction means, methods, techniques, sequences, and safety procedures • Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations • Coordination with the District, design consultants, inspectors, utility providers, and authorities having jurisdiction • Maintaining a safe, secure, and operational campus environment throughout construction • Protection of existing facilities, utilities, and adjacent occupied buildings • Required inspections, testing, closeout documentation, and project turnover The Scope of Work described herein is intended to define the general nature of the construction work and does not limit the Contractor’s responsibility to provide a complete, functional, and code-compliant project in accordance with the contract documents.
