Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. The Pierce County Board of Commissioners may select a successful low bidder after evaluation of all bids. The Scope of Work Includes: Base Reclamation and Resurfacing Improvements to Yeomans Street and Ware Street Parking Lots for the Pierce County Recreation Department. All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the Owner in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for the Owner. Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract. All work on the project must be completed within 60 consecutive calendar days of the Notice to Proceed Date.
