    Description

    This Work Package includes initial site grading to support subsequent construction activities. Work consists of, but is not limited to, clearing and grubbing, demolition, grading, and site preparation in accordance with the Contract Documents.

    • Achieve rough site grading to ±0.10 feet of final grade ready for follow-on work packages on or before July 31, 2026.

    • Provide all labor, materials, equipment, insurance, supervision, safety planning, and quality control necessary to complete the work.

    • Demolition and disposal of two concrete structures, including one shown on the drawings and one not shown but included in the scope.

    • Perform initial site grading, heavy clearing, and grubbing, including removal of trees, brush, fencing, debris, and objectionable materials.

    • Complete final site grading to ±0.10 feet of final subgrade, except at the Aeromod structure excavation limits.

    • Perform required surveying and layout, including submission of a final grading/topographic survey for acceptance.

    • Stockpile topsoil in a designated location coordinated with the CMAR.

    • Utilize designated borrow area for backfill or clean spoil disposal, as allowed.

    • Restore disturbed areas to match surrounding grades.

    • Grade contractor trailer and parking areas and place 6 inches of flex base per Delineation Drawings.

    • Install a construction road with an additional 6 inches of flex base, including storm drains and headwalls (maintenance by a separate work package).

    Schedule Requirements:

    • Base Bid work to be completed on or before June 31, 2026.

    • Liquidated damages of $2,500 per day apply for failure to meet required milestones or completion dates.

    • Alternate – Debris Disposal: Removal and disposal of stockpiled soils as directed by the CMAR. Pricing to be per load (assume 15 CY per load). Soils containing construction debris or potentially regulated materials are excluded.
