    Description

    This Work Package includes furnishing and constructing all headworks-related structures, piping, paving, and associated civil work in accordance with the Contract Documents.

    Key Scope Elements:

    • Furnish all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, supervision, incidentals, and insurance required to construct the following major facilities:

      • Flow Equalization Basin (FEB)

      • FEB Return Lift Station

      • Influent Splitter Box

      • Headworks Screening Facilities

      • Grit Chambers

      • Influent Lift Station

      • Flow Meter Structure

    • Demolition: Demolish and dispose of six (6) existing sludge drying beds per Construction Drawings (Volume 6). Any remaining sludge within beds to be demolished shall be disposed of at a TCEQ-approved landfill or land application site negotiated by the Contractor.

    • Paving: Furnish and install concrete paving around the headworks structures and gravel surfacing in adjacent areas, in accordance with the Contract Documents.

    • Piping: Excavate, install, connect, test, and backfill all piping and manholes, including connections to existing systems. Provide all trench safety plans, protective systems, labor, and equipment as required by regulations and Contract Documents. Piping systems include:

      • Non-Potable Water (NPW)

      • Storm Water (SW)

      • Primary Effluent (PE)

      • Raw Sewage (RS), including associated manholes

      • Potable Water (PW)

      • Drain Lines (DR)

      • Grit Removal (GR)

    • Site Restoration: Restore all disturbed areas to match surrounding grades per Contract Documents.

    • Borrow Area: Utilize the Borrow Area for backfill or disposal of clean spoils, as permitted.

    • Startup & Testing: Provide all labor, materials, equipment, services, commissioning, functional testing, and operator training for all applicable systems, equipment, and structures.

    Schedule & Milestones:

    • Backfill & Ready for Site Civil: On or before August 2, 2027 (±0.10’ of final subgrade).

    • Operationally Ready: On or before December 2, 2027, per Specification 01 75 23.

    • Headworks Complete: On or before March 23, 2028.

    • Failure to meet required milestones or final completion date will result in liquidated damages of $2,500 per day.

    • Permanent dumpsters at Headworks and Sludge Handling Facility (provided by the City of Pilot Point).

    • Removal of sludge from existing sludge drying beds (by City of Pilot Point).
