CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES (FULL TURNKEY)2.1 Field VerificationConduct full site measurements to confirm wall length, height, door placement, and tie-in points.Identify any conflicts with existing utilities, fire/life safety systems, or egress paths.2.2 Plans, Engineering & SubmittalsPrepare complete architectural drawings, including:Floor plan showing wall location and dimensionsElevations and sectionsDoor schedule and hardwareAnchorage detailsProvide structural engineering if required by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).Obtain all required stamps, calculations, and approvals for permit submission.Submit all plans to MAOF for review prior to permit application.2.3 PermitsContractor must:Pull all required building permits from the City of Norwalk.Pull all applicable trade permits (carpentry, electrical if needed, fire/life safety if required).Coordinate directly with the AHJ for: Plan check, corrections, fees, inspections, and final sign-off.Note: MAOF will not pull permits.3. CONSTRUCTION SCOPE3.1 Wall ConstructionConstruct a 4-ft-high, approx. 25-ft-long pony wall at the location shown on the sketch.Wall must be:Plumb, level, and securely anchored.Built with commercial-grade framing (minimum 2x4 or metal stud equivalent).Sheathed and finished to match existing adjacent finishes.Capped with a durable top plate (wood, MDF, or approved material).3.2 Door InstallationInstall a 3-ft commercial interior door within the pony wall.Include: Door frame, hinges, lever hardware, and self-closing mechanism (if required).Door swing direction must comply with egress and licensing requirements.3.3 FinishesMatch existing facility finishes as closely as possible, including paint color/sheen, baseboards, and trim details.3.4 Fire/Life Safety ComplianceEnsure wall placement does not obstruct exit paths, fire alarm devices, or sprinkler coverage.Coordinate with licensed fire-life-safety vendors if modifications are required.4.
