The City of Atlanta seeks qualified vendors for fire and rescue tools, equipment, and maintenance services through a Multi-Step Sealed Bid process including prequalification and an Invitation for Bid (IFB). Compliance with OSHA and NFPA standards is required.
The City of Atlanta, on behalf of the Department of Atlanta Fire Rescue (AFRD), will shortly undergo a Multi-Step Sealed Bid process comprised of a prequalification phase as the initial step, followed by an Invitation for Bid (IFB), towards the procurement of qualified vendors to provide fire and rescue tools, equipment, and related maintenance and support services. The scope includes, but is not limited to, powered equipment, forcing tools, ladders, monitors, miscellaneous operational items, and Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment, along with associated inspection, maintenance, and repair services. Interested vendors during the prequalification phase must demonstrate experience supplying fire and rescue equipment and, where applicable, providing certified maintenance and service support for SCBA and related systems, including the operational capacity to meet delivery timelines, parts availability, and service response requirements. Vendors must comply with applicable federal, state, and industry standards, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards (e.g., NFPA 1404, 1500, 1852, 1981, and 1989), and manufacturer (OEM) requirements for equipment and servicing. A Pre-Solicitation Conference will be noticed and held to provide more details and address questions. We hope to see you there.
SLED stands for State, Local, and Education. These are solicitations issued by state governments, counties, cities, school districts, utilities, and higher education institutions — as opposed to federal agencies.
