The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) will be soliciting an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for "Guadalupe Light Rail Vehicle Wash Replacement" (Project).

Notice is hereby given that VTA is now soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from bidders (Bidders) with construction expertise to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, supervision, and incidentals necessary to remove and replace existing LRV Wash System located at Building F of the Guadalupe Division with a hybrid drive-through and gantry wash system.

Background

This Request for Pre-Qualification of Bidders is intended to solicit information in the form of a qualification questionnaire and qualification statements. All Bidders that intend to submit a Bid for the Project must fully complete the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire, provide all materials requested herein, and be approved by VTA in order to be included on the final qualified Bidders list.  No bid will be accepted from a Bidder that has failed to comply with these requirements.  If two or more firms submitted a SOQ as part of a Joint Venture, or expect to submit a SOQ as part of a Joint Venture, each entity within the Joint Venture must be separately pre-qualified.

Once you have completed account registration, browse back to this page, click on "Submit Response", and follow the instructions to submit the electronic bid.

Submission Requirements

• Bid Documents (required) —

• Price Proposal (required) —

  Bidder shall submit Bid Form 1-B for the [products/services] requested in this IFB.

  Confirm that your price proposal is not attached with the other bid documents and is attached separately here.

• Bid Bond (required) —

  Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified cashier’s check, or bid bond, in the amount of 10% of the total bid price, payable toSanta Clara Valley Transportation Authority, as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. The bidder shall guarantee the total bid price for a period of 60 days from the date of the bid opening.

  Please scan and upload a copy of your bid bond/cashier's check. Bidder must also MAIL bid guarantee with a postmarked date no later thanTuesday, September 1, 2026 addressed to:

• Contract Execution, Payment Bond, Performance Bond, and Certificate(s) of Insurance (required) —

  The contract shall be executed by the successful bidder and shall be returned, together with the Payment Bond, Performance Bond and Certificate(s) of Insurance to Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority so that it is received within 14 working daysafter the bidder has received the contract for execution. Failure to do so shall be just cause for forfeiture of the proposal guaranty.
