Overview The New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (NYS OASAS) recognizes the need for a comprehensive response to prevent and reduce the harms associated with gambling across the lifespan, from youth through older adults. To address this, NYS OASAS will fund community-based prevention providers to conduct a comprehensive needs assessment. The prevention providers will develop and implement sustainable prevention programming within their community specifically related to the prevention and risk reduction of the harms associated with gambling.
