    The City of Calabasas (City) has identified the need for the Community Services Department to publicize, three (3) times per year, a recreation brochure listing youth and adult recreational classes, along with information about City parks/facilities and partner organizations. The current Premier Recreation Brochure is a page size of 8 3/8” x 10 7/8”, gloss cover and interior pages and full color paper stock.
    A. Therefore, City requires the services of a well-qualified professional services provider (Provider) to provide the services for printing and other services detailed in the Scope of Services section.

    Q (Vendor Qs Bid ): 1. Flipbook, how many pages? When you say it's saddle-stitched on the 10 7/8 side can you confirm if that's folded vertically or horizontally?

    A: The flipbook would mirror the number of pages in the print copy, as it is an identical digital version of the printed brochure. The brochure is folded vertically.


    Q (Vendor Qs Bid ): 2. All mailers are confirmed in City of Calabasas correct? Zip codes 91301 and 91302?

    A: Not all residences within zip codes 91301 and 91302 are located in Calabasas. It is the vendor’s responsibility to ensure the mailing is properly targeted so that all Calabasas residents receive the brochure.


    Q (No subject): 3. What does "hosting the flipbook electronic version of the brochure in our own servers mean? You also talk about 100-300 links depending on edition and performing coding functions to create hyperlinks in originating graphics file so that hyperlink appears and functions in final composite PDF version of brochure, can you elaborate please?

    A: The flipbook is a digital version of the print brochure, but it also includes active links to each class, email addresses, and other applicable links throughout the brochure. When we refer to hosting the flipbook electronic version on your own servers, we mean hosting the digital brochure file online so it can be accessed by users through a web link. The references to 100 to 300 links and coding functions relate to creating the interactive elements within the digital version. This includes embedding hyperlinks in the original brochure file so they remain active and function properly in the final PDF and flipbook version.     Q (Pages per booklet): Can you give us an approximate number of pages per booklet. It does not have to be exact but it gives us an idea of the amount of hours of design work.

    A: The flipbook will mirror the print copy brochure. As it states in the RFP pricing sheet, the pages are 64 for Summer, and 56 for Spring and Fall/Winter.
