    Description

    The City of Fairfax (“City” or “Owner”) is soliciting competitive bids from licensed, qualified firms for the Work as described:This project is for outfall stabilization at two city-owned sites: 10715 West Drive (Providence Park) and 3720 Blenheim Boulevard (Van Dyck Park). The scope includes 250 linear feet of outfall restoration at Providence Park and 330 linear feet of outfall restoration at Van Dyck Park. Riprap lined channels, step pools, and channel grading will be utilized to restore the outfalls to be more erosion resistant. Trail repaving is also part of the scope of work at Van Dyck Park. Both sites outfall to Accotink Creek. This project is partially funded through DEQ's Stormwater Local Assistance Fund (SLAF) grant. The City will provide full-time oversight for the project. The contractor may work at more than one site location at a time. Earthwork quantities are provided with a 1:1 cut/fill factor. Contractor to determine shrink/swell factor as part of their bid.All necessary permitting has been obtained by the City. These sites are covered by a VSMP permit and corresponding SWPPP. The contractor shall be responsible for maintaining SWPPP compliance and documentation, to include self-inspections, SWPPP updates, and SWPPP amendments as necessary. SWPPP documentation is to be transferred to the City upon project completion and is a component of final deliverables. The contractor shall maintain a regularly updated redline copy of drawings during construction. These drawings are to be transferred to the City upon project completion and are a component of final deliverables. The City will conduct as-built survey and convert the redline drawings to CAD format. Any testing necessary to meet project specifications shall be the responsibility of the contractor. Outfall alignment tables will be provided by the City prior to the start of construction.The awarded Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, tools, material, transportation and resources necessary to complete the described Work in accordance with the Contract Documents.
