    Description

    Ben Franklin Transit (BFT) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide in-person, instructor-led safety and de-escalation training for frontline public transit operators. The purpose of this procurement is to enhance operator safety, reduce workplace violence risk, and improve operator preparedness for high-risk incidents occurring within public transit environments.

    Evaluation Criteria

    • Demonstrated Experience Providing Public Transit Safety Training (30 pts)

      Contractor understands the challenges of public transit operational environments. Contractor will be evaluated based on the depth of the firm’s specialized experience and technical competence in the performance of comparable assignments, based on information contained in the proposal.

    • Instructors Experience (25 pts)

      Qualifications and experience of proposed instructors.

    • Qualifications (25 pts)

      BFT will consider all the relevant material submitted by each Contractor, and other relevant material it may otherwise obtain, to determine whether the Contractor is capable of providing services of the type and scope specific to the RFP. Evaluations will be based on Contractor’s proposal describing the understanding of the Scope of Work to be performed, has personnel, equipment and facilities to in order to perform the Scope of Work and demonstrates a thorough understanding of the undertaking and its contribution to BFT.

    • Cost (20 pts)

       

       

    • Optional Interview – Oral Presentation (30 pts)

      Once evaluations have been completed, the Contractors who have the highest scoring proposals may be chosen for an interview/live demonstration session limited to 60 minutes.
