Qualified Sewer Lateral Pipeline Repair Contractor

The City of Victorville Public Works Department is seeking qualified contractors to provide on-call sewer lateral and mainline repair services within the public right-of-way. Services will be performed on an as-needed basis and may include the repair, replacement, and maintenance of residential and commercial sewer infrastructure throughout the City.

Work may involve excavation, trenching, backfill, traffic control, and trenchless repair methods such as pipe bursting and slip lining. The selected contractor(s) will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete assigned work in a timely and cost-effective manner. The City intends to award one or more contracts for these services.

Background

The City maintains responsibility for sewer laterals and mainlines located within the public right-of-way and must respond to blockages, failures, and other deficiencies as they arise. Due to the unpredictable nature of these repairs, the City utilizes on-call contractors to assist with timely response and completion of work.

This contract will support ongoing maintenance and emergency response efforts to ensure the reliability and functionality of the City’s sewer collection system. Contractors must be capable of performing a variety of repair methods and working at multiple locations throughout the City as directed by Public Works and Engineering staff.

• Qualifications and Experience (25 pts) —

  Timeline for commencement and completion of the proposed services with a preference to commencing and completing the study as soon as practicable.

  Provide references that provided similar scope of work/projects.

  Proposed approach, including clarity of understanding of the scope of services to be provided and appropriateness of the proposed services.
