Minor work on BIN3328040 will include sidewalk and curb replacement, snow storage replacement, and mill/overlay of the asphalt wearing surface. EST, at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Public Works, Highways, 95 Franklin Street, 14th floor, Buffalo, New York. Bids will not be accepted unless the bid package is downloaded directly from www.erie.gov/dpw so that contact information is captured by ECDPW for bid addenda and communication. If a prospective bidder is not registered as a bidder with the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Public Works, Highways by virtue of his/her downloading of plans, then notices of subsequent contract-related meetings, appropriate contract addenda, or other significant matters related to the contract proposal or bid will not be communicated to said prospective bidder. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by bidder's certified check, as bid deposit, payable to the "County of Erie" in the amount of $167,000.00 (one hundred and sixty-seven thousand dollars). The Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds guaranteeing performance of work and prompt payment from an acceptable Surety Company for an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid. The successful Bidder and all subcontractors must provide the NYSDOL Certificate of Contractor Registration and have an approved CCA-2 on file with NYSDOT prior to being awarded a contract. If the successful Bidder does not currently have a CCA-2 on file with NYSDOT, the Bidder may find the CCA-2 forms and instruction for completion online at https://www.osc.state.ny.us/state-vendors/vendrep/vendrep-system. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the Special Instructions and Special Specifications accompanying the Itemized Proposal, including but not limited to Federal, State and County contract forms, NYSDOL Certificate of Contractor Registration, Non-Collusive Bidding, Lobbying Certifications, Bidder’s List (CONR 80LL) with information about all quotes received from DBE and non-DBE Subcontractors, OSHA Training certifications, Davis-Bacon Federal and/or NYSDOL Minimum Wage Rates to be paid under the proposed contract, and the schedules as certified for the particular contract. Minority Workforce and NYS Apprenticeship Program goals and requirements may apply. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for this project is: 0%. There are no M/WBE/SDVOB goals for this project. The EEO Employment goals for this project are: 7.7% Minority Employment Goal and 6.9% Women Employment Goal. The use of the NYSDOT approved civil rights reporting software, Equitable Business Opportunities (EBO), is required. This is a Federal Aid Project and NYSDOT Standard Specifications, officially finalized and adopted on January 1, 2026, must be followed by the successful bidder. The successful bidder will be required to execute the contract and comply in all respects with Highway Law and local, State, and Federal laws governing the awarding of the contract. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five (45) calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The work will be substantially completed in 180 working days from Notice to Proceed. Completion is anticipated by November 20, 2026.
