    Description

    The City of Rochester is requesting bids for the lease of one (1) 26 yd low profile, six (6) 30 yard self-contained compactors, one (1) 2 yard dock container tipper, and one (1) 2 yard self-contained compactor with 30 yard container, including installation and maintenance. The City is requesting (3) three sets of prices for Group 1. Group 1A will be for new compactors. Group1B will be for compactors that are less than 5 years old. Group 1C will be for compactors less than 10 years old. The City may require verification of equipment age. Where any part or parts of the equipment are not specified or specifically mentioned, it shall be understood that what is usually provided at the manufacturer's stock model shall be furnished together with full appurtenances complete and ready for operation. Wherever in these specifications a particular make or model number is indicated, it is done solely to establish the level of quality desired. This should not be interpreted to mean that the make or model specified is the only one acceptable. However, if the bidder submits a bid on a make or model other than specified, they must include in their bid a detailed specification describing the items they propose to furnish. The bidder shall point out in detail wherein the item(s) they propose to furnish differs from the items called for in these specifications.
