The State University Construction Fund (SUCF) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from consultants to provide design and construction administration services for the Rehabilitate Passenger Elevators – H. Carl McCall SUNY Building project at the State University of New York, System Administration in Albany. The Project will modernize or replace eight overhead geared traction elevators in the H. Carl McCall Building. The Project includes the removal of hazardous materials and provides upgrades to meet current code and ADA requirements. The H. Carl McCall Building, constructed between 1914 and 1918, is a 200,000 GSF, five-story building with a 13-story central tower that houses the SUNY System Administration offices. The eight (8) existing traction elevators that serve the building have experienced numerous recent service interruptions due to repairs. Many of the elevators’ components are well beyond their useful life or obsolete, making repairs more difficult. Design Services will proceed for the entire project.
